The Agile Coach will facilitate the process for how information is exchanged by agile development team members. Coach leaders and scrum masters to facilitate all the agile ceremonies and artifacts.
Responsibilities of the Agile Coach:
Provides overarching Agile direction for the entire department, and is responsible for providing guidance, roadmapping, and assessments on the state of Agile growth.
Continually monitors and evaluates industry trends for department implementation.
Coaches scrum masters, senior scrum masters, and other practitioners (product owners, stakeholders) on Agile best practices and serves as a lead across all Scrum related roles to set direction, structure, adoption, measurement and guidance within the department.
Coaches technology management and officers on Agile practices.
Helps incorporate Agile Leadership into their job tracks to support their teams to the fullest extent.
Leads the scrum master guild, where scrum masters across teams in the department collaborate to share areas for improvement and define best practices for the department.
Consolidates and guides scrum master findings into process improvements that tie into the department's Agile roadmap.
Removes road blocks using peer relationships, and formal channels.
Provides coaching to staff level and senior scrum masters as necessary.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of related work experience, or
Associate's degree and a minimum of 9 years of related work experience, or
High school diploma and a minimum of 11 years of related work experience
Knowledge Area - Expert Level
Ability to work cohesively with a team
Agile tooling experience (TFS, Atlassian, VersionOne, etc.)
Ability to work within/develop an agile work environment utilizing Scrum methodologies
Skill Area - Expert Level
Ability to teach Agile concepts and apply practices in a context-sensitive manner
Acts as a servant leader for project teams
